About Amaechi's $50mill...

Concerning the Ikoyi loot... Oh, wait! You didn't hear of the $43.2mill, £27,800, and N23.2mill found in the luxurious apartment flat 7B in Osborne Towers, Ikoyi?? Apparently, this money storage room they call an apartment flat belongs to none other than ex-governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi. How did we find out? Well, an anonymous source, noticing the movement of bags and the likes in and out of the apartment, informed the EFCC.

Now, as would have been expected, the enraged present governor of Rivers State, Governor Nyesom Wike, claims that Amaechi stole this healthy sum from the Rivers State government and hid in his pretty little Ikoyi apartment. Wike further demanded that the Federal government (and, of course, the EFCC) returns the money, even going as far as giving an ultimatum of 7 days. Of course, Wike has received a truckload of insults for his proclamation and demand; he was even called crazy by a certain Peterside. But, my guy is unmoved o. He claims to pick up Amaechi's pet project; a rail work in the state. He also claims not to press any charges if the money is returned. On the other hand, he has promised to drag this issue out with Amaechi if the money is not returned. Governor Wike is also of the opinion that the government is covering Amaechi.

In other news, Dino Melaye narrowly escapes supposed assassination attempt. I know that has you interested.. it's gist for tomorrow. Come back again, and I just might give you guys the full gist.
