Posted by Israel Nigerian singer and songwriter Wizkid on Sunday bagged BET Award for ‘Best International Act: Africa’ in Los Angeles, California. Wizkid topped Tekno, Mr Eazi, Davido, Stonebwoy, Aka, Nasty C, Babes Wodumo who were also nominated in the category. This won’t be the first time Star boy is bagging the award in this category, as he has gone home with the award in 2012. However, Wizkid was unavailable to collect his award, he has received a total of 44 awards from 157 nominations as of June 2017. Wizkid will be embarking on an international tour with American rapper and songwriter, Future later in July. Posted by Israel It was a hell of a fight as Nigerian born British boxer, Anthony Joshua defeated 41 year old veteran, Wladimir Klitschko in the 11th round of one of the greatest boxing bout in recent times. Joshua won the fight in the 11th round with a vicious uppercut that put his opponent on the floor, followed by a right cross. A brutal left hook knocked Wladimir down a second time then a crisp combo finished the old warrior in the corner and Klitschko went out on his shield.

Posted by Israel The Federal Government has hailed its whistle-blower policy, which has led to the recovery of looted funds in many currencies that may otherwise not have been discovered, describing it as an effective tool of fighting corruption in Nigeria. In a statement issued in Lagos  on Sunday , the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said the policy has also shown the depth of support amo ng Nigerians for the fight against corruption. He therefore thanked Nigerians for the enthusiasm and commitment that they have shown in helping the government to tackle the hydra-headed monster of  corruption through the useful leads they have been providing to appropriate government agencies. Posted by Israel The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered that the $38million, N23million and £27,000, recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in a residential building located at Osborne Towers, Ikoyi be temporarily forfeited to the Nigerian government.  In a ruling presided by Justice Muslim Hassan this afternoon, he ordered that the funds be handed over to the Federal Government pending when the owner surfaces to make a court case against the order. The case was adjourned until  May 5, 2017 .
